(Vancouver, BC) – Prolific local composer/playwright
David Blue’s latest comedy, 6 Grooms A Bride and
a Gun, takes a light-hearted look at modern-day matrimonial
myths. The comedy opens at Studio 16 in South Granville
just in time for the wedding season.
From the time
most girls are born, they are told that the most important
day in their lives is their wedding day. Nobody knows
that better than Grace McPherson. She’s been there,
done that and bought the gown, far too many times. For
some reason the fates just don’t seem to want
Grace to make it down the aisle. Will her sixth attempt
be the one? Will she make it to her happily ever after
or will a gun in someone’s purse ruin her plans?

Sica
Leroux, who plays an ill-fated bride that makes the
trip down the aisle not once but six times, is in the
midst of planning her own wedding later this summer.
Unlike her character’s nuptially-obsessed mother,
who has dreamed of her daughter’s wedding day
since she was born, Sica is not planning an extravagant
event.
